Office Look-book Special-Editon:

A round-up:

So this is how I round-up this week's Office Look-Book Special-Edition. I want to take the opportunity to thank all of my readers and followers for showing some love and support (I Heart u guys)! I hope you all got enough inspiration and some tips on how to make your days at the office fashionable and chique.

Be creative and don't be afraid of exploring your style horizons. Make sure you own some key pieces that you can style up a number of ways, instead of too many separates that don't go together.

For example did you notice that I've worn the same button-up on days 1,2& 3?
Opt for a solid color, this way you can mix and match it with other pieces and create fun looks.

Shop your closet. Instead of going for an entire new outfit, switch a skirt for some trousers, and play with your accessories like I did on day 4 and 5.

Make sure you own a statement handbag in a neutral color that can be styled with all of your outfits.
Always iron your clothes, this way you will look crisp and sharp all the time.

Office special: Day 5

Simplicity is classy:

On day 5 I 've coordinated four shades of solids to create a look that is simple, fresh and classy.
The leopard print clutch gave an unexpected surpise.

The key to this outfit was going a shade lighter with every piece and blending the nude shoes in.
The statement necklace compliments the simple lines of the blouse. This outfit is indeed simple but simplicity is classy. Just allow your personality to shine through, with confidence.

This is my personal experience....what is yours? Let me know!

Office special: Day 4

Turquoise My Heart:

We made it to day 4!
Some time ago it was very trendy to layer stacks and stacks of bracelets together.
However, this season it's all about layering necklaces, personally I find this trend to be much more fun. It's all about finding the right proportions and balancing one piece with another.

Today I opted for a long-short turquoise combo. I further enhanced my outfit with a silver metal cocktail ring from H&M. The bright color really pops against the grey blouse and lilac-blue skirt.
During warmer days it's OK to wear a short sleeve, but keep the neckline basic and avoid a plundging V-neck at all costs. Always have a cardigan or blazer handy, just in case you have a cliĆ«nt meeting.

Your thoughts? Ideas?

Office special: Day 3

Summer Blues, Summer Brights

This summer it's all about finding that standout print in a very wearable silhouette!
Summer resembles bright skies, clear waters and sandy seashores.
This picture was clearly interpreted through these H&M trousers.

I wanted to keep the outfit looking fresh and bright but perfect for the office. The white button-up conserves the neatness of the look and doesn’t overpower the trousers.

I kept the rest of the accessories toned down, and I incorporated a nude block-heel platform for height.
This was day 3. Any thoughts? Let me know!

Office Special: Day 2

The Color-Block Suit:

Summer season is the perfect time of the year to experiment with bold colors in your office attire.
I was inspired by Zara's bold head-to-toe colorful suits, yet I chose to incorporate only one colorful piece in order to make the outfit more versatile.

I love the freshness of the look, it just screams summer. Color-blocking it with a white button-up keeps it crisp. I added a long statement necklace that creates the illusion of a tie.

What are your thoughts? Share them with me.

Office special: Day 1

Myth-buster: Denim & office...

If you're going to spend  80% of your day in the office, why not spend it fashionably ?
Since this is a daily place of labor for most of us, I decided to do a special-edition look book on office attire.

I’m going to start by busting one of the greatest myths this century has known: The denim-office relationship. For this look I wore a dark blue pair of jeans with an every-woman-essential piece: the white button-up. I layered my deep red leather top, to add dimension.

In order to make denim work for the office, try keeping the lines simple and avoid wearing tops that fit too tight. Try a darker, solid denim color, this can simulate the illusion of wearing black pants.

I love a minimalistic look with denim: it keeps the whole outfit looking chique, classy and put together.

Let me know what you think: any ideas and tips?

VOGUE commemorates

The Timeless Tee

So we know that in Fashion there are timeless classics as well as passing fads.
This month VOGUE Nederland commemorates one of fashion's greatest classics...The White Tee.

Who would have known that a simple silhouette with very basic lines would've made a lasting impact on the way we dress today. The white tee has made several appearances, created countless trends and has evolved into a number a facets.

Many are the big designer houses that tries to brand this essential piece. Yet the white tee has created a name of its own. It is and will continue to be the most sought after basic essential.

I paired my iconic white tee with the latest upcoming trend for SS'13, the leather shorts. This outfit was for a casual evening out with a friend. The graphic B/W clutch along with my MUI MUI inspired glitter pumps gave the look an eccentric touch. (You all know my style is far from basic/normal). I managed to get some quick shots of my OOTD, let me know what you think...
