Futuristic 40's - Timeless Trousers

High waisted cropped trousers flatters most figure shapes and are a great choice for the office.
I paired mines with these blocked heel black pumps to create a futuristic 40ties inspired look. I’m in love with the fabric material of these trousers, it's not strechy but it  feels so soft and comfortable. How cute is the marble printed belt? I got it from H&M.

Belt: H&M

Interior - It's stingy and I like it

I'm very much fond of rustic sophistication when it comes to interior design. So next up I decided to add a touch of intrest to my home by buying these cute little decorative baby cacti.
Cacti make great indoor plants, they come in a variety of structures and need little attention when it comes to care.  Besides, these plants are though breeds, the will survive the entire summer and even make it through winter. These I found at IKEA. Below I selected some other breeds to inspire you.

Going Green - Avocado Recipes

I’m literally fascinated with avocados and can’t imagine my life without them anymore (not exaggerating here). I use this super food on my skin, hair, nails, and I put it in everything from sandwiches to salads. There is so much more to avocados when it comes to preparing meals, so here are some delicious recipe ideas to try.
1. Chicken breast sandwich with lettuce and honey mustard sauce, some fresh mint tea.

The Woman in Red

Nothing beats a classic. There was a time that the red dress was solely reserved for special occasions but this vibrant color can truly be a mood booster for the office. The trick is to find a silhouette that is appropriate for the environment whilst reflecting your personality and style. This cute little number is a refreshing choice for the summer days. The strappy sandals add some flair and keep it from looking too formal. This delicate dress from Mango is just right, it is curve hugging, offers enough coverage and it can easily be transitioned to an after work dinner or meeting.

Classy & Fabulous - Gracefully Elegant

For this look I was inspired by the subtle elegance of Jackie O. Kennedy. She is famous for her lady like pastels and memorable prints. Short sleeves can be a risky choice for a business look, but the first lady would wear them like no other. The trick is to avoid a plunging neckline or showing off too much legs. The fitted midi-skirt keeps the look updated and adds a touch of femininity. I kept the rest quite simple and toned down. As I said previously subtle hues look best when they are delicately styled. Coco Chanel once said: “a woman should be two things: classy & fabulous.” This outfit combines both elements to create a look that is modern, but extremely elegant.

Soft & Sassy - Pastel Tones

Delicate and tender baby colors have been quite popular these past couple of seasons. First it was cotton candy pink. Nowadays it’s soft tranquil pastel blues paired with white or PVC accessories. I LOVE IT!

I’m mostly fond of bright colors and exotic prints, but there is something about this sudden tranquility that I find elegant and sassy. It also brings a touch of freshness to the summer days. Elegance and freshness work well for the office, it’s like a balancing act. You will look crisp and put together but will avoid looking too stuffy and unapproachable. The asymmetrical split on this skirt adds just the right amount of spark.
I opted for black heeled sandals because it’s unexpected and they also elongate my legs.

I am surrrounded by equisite art found at TresArt Gallery in Breda.
