It's Mid Year - I Need to Travel

As human beings we have the burning desire to stimulate our brain and nourish our spirit altogether. It is the necessity to force ourselves into new refreshing perspectives of life. No wonder the Dalai Lama encourages us to visit someplace new every year. Travel isn’t just a luxury, it compliments the soul and allows us to become well rounded human beings. Seeing other people engage into their daily activities provides us with a healthy dose of reality. We are confronted with the fact that the way we look at the world is not the way everybody looks at it. Tasting the flavors of the world is good for the heart. We create new memories and quench our thirst for adventure. Think about accepting the challenge to jump into an unknown world and being open to unpredicted circumstances. Without knowing, we are given the opportunity to develop new skills we never knew we could excel. Getting away from our routine provides us with the much needed closure for a phase in life whilst giving us insight to welcome a new one. So what are you waiting for?! Take a chance!

Here are my top 5 destinations for summer:

1. The Maldives
Maldives is the smallest Asian country in both population and land area, yet the greatest paradise on Earth. A trip to its beaches is a healing therapy for the soul.

2. Philippines
Named after King Philip II of Spain, but officially known as the Republic of the Philippines. These islands form one of the most beautiful countries of the World. They offer breathtaking landscapes and views.

3. Raja Ampat, Indonesia
Also known as the four Kings, offers an astonishing underwater world to explore. The treasures found in its realms will leave you enchanted.

4. Mombasa, Kenya
Mombasa has the perfect climate all year around but is mostly popular for its diverse marine life and friendly atmosphere.

5. Lagos, Portugal
This historical city has the most vibrant nightlife in the Algarve region, but is also good for all age groups because of its numerous aquatic activities.
